Who is more valueable to thier respective teams? Samsonov? Thornton?Jagr?

Thornton... plus, he went from a team that sucks to one that is in the playoffs.

It is between Thornton and Jagr. Thornton had the most points and is the only player to win the scoring trophy after being traded. The Rangers would not have made the playoffs without Jagr and he finished second in both points and goals. Cheechoo won the award for most goals (Jagr second)with 56, 49 since Thornton arrived (he assisted on 38 of those). The Sharks finished the season with a 44-27-11 record. Since the trade (58 games)the Sharks went 36-15-7. 8-12-4 - on track to 68 points. The finished with 99. The won 33% of their games before the trade and won 62% after. This is despite losing both goalies for a stretch and Nabokov (primary goalie) having an off and injury ridden year. It is a tough call as neither team would likely have made it to the playoffs without them (Jagr/Thornton). My vote is Thornton.

1st of all, jagr is a big "landon donovan" if you know what i mean. while thornton came onto the sharks jus 6months ago-- they went from a 10 game LOSING streak to an 8 game WINNING streak and have sey many club records. thats y i think that thornton shood win MVP. G O S H A R K S ! ! ! ( : : )

Joe Thornton-he lifted the sharks to the fifthe place team in the west. He has the most points in the league, too.
