Heavens no! she is not too old for warm mild from a sippy cup.
Kids grow up too fast already. When she is eleven and wants her own cell phone and tight blue jeans, your husband is going to regret the days when she wanted warm milk in a sippy cup.....
We all have what they call "comfort foods". Warm milk is good for her, her comfort food could have been twinkies.

Each child develops differently. My 2 1/2 year old drinks from a regular cup and my 8 month old only drinks from a sippy cup, he is off the bottle completely.
This is something that the 2 of you need to sit down an discuss. I still give my 2 1/2 year old warm milk just before bedtime. The enzymes in milk helps a child sleep at night.

YES! She is too old for a sippy cup! The longer she is on a sippy cup, the greater chance she has of developing an overbite, not to mention an attachment to the sippy cup itself. I get rid of all of the sippy cups and get her trained on a regular cup ASAP. My kids were never on a sippy cup past 3, LOL my 18 month old is already starting on a big kid cup.

I would recommend switching her to a cup that is similar to a sippy cup. They are spill-proof but are one step above sippy cup. Like the one below. That way she doesn't have to give up her warm milk or the general idea of a sippy cup. Baby steps, baby steps.

everybody debates at what age to stop using sippy cups my kids stopped using them around age 3, her coordination should be fine to stop using them plus if she is going to bed with it what are the condition of her teeth, a sippy can cause tooth decay just like a bottle. You can still give her warm milk but just don't do it in a sippy. Also she should be starting school soon and that won't fly in school.

He is right on one thing she is too old for a sippy cup. The warm milk is fine though if that is what gets her to drink milk. My daughter only drinks chocolate milk or strawberry flavored milk.

no she isn't too old for a sippy cup or warm milk. while she sits at the dinner table with you, you should give her a regular cup and inform her to be careful. otherwise while she is playing it is better for everyone if she uses a sippy cup.

Is it a security thing, is she scared of making a mess? Try getting her to drink from a small normal cup that she can hold, and let her have a choice in it and let her take time to change. She can still have a warm milk if she likes, it's not going to hurt her, just put in a little at a time. Let her play with cups and bottles and jugs in the bath and in the yard with a little water so that she can learn to handle them (hand/eye coordination) I did this with my children it's fun for them to learn things during play as it allows for mistakes without consequences, a safe learning style.

Gotta agree with your husband, she is too old for the sippy cup. Time to let her put it in the trash and explain to her why she needs to do it.
