Why can't Mormons have caffeine?

Because it is addictive and habit forming.

Its part of our health code found in the Doctrine and Covenants section 89 one of our scriptures. but hot drinks tea, and coffee, are what we cant have, and yes! they do contain caffeine. WE dont take drugs unless prescribed by a Doctor.

It's considered by many to be against the "Word of Wisdom", a Mormon-based wellness code of sorts which tells member what not to partake of.

Actually, it's really a grey area in the church. There hasn't really been an official doctrinal stance on the issue (the Word of Wisdom doesn't actually mention caffiene, specifically), so many members do consume caffeine. Those who don't tend to be stricter in lifestyle.

Also, Mormons do *not* own Coca Cola or Pepsi. These are just urban legends.

The sin of the world doesnt come from what HE is putting inside His Mouth, but what comes out... now now, about caffeine, dont now what makes them rid of caffeine, there are lots of problem here in this world and certain that sucking question in not to be treated as a problem. Dont consume much energy figuring this out.

Because religions have to have key Distinguishing aspects between themselves and others, and thats the way mormons do it.

Mormons don't drink anything that they consider to be unhealthy or damaging to their bodies.

Some people avoid stimulating food or drinks because it affects the mind - it creates excitement, tension, stress, irritability, anger and aggression....
