Do battery chargers go dead?
I've had this particular battery charger for about 2 years and it's apparently quit working. Just wondering if this is normal. I was thinking the batteries would go before the charger did.

Just like any electrical/electronic equipments battery chargers are also subject to electrical surges, overheating etc. So its entirely possible that the charger could die way earlier than the batteries. If this problem keeps recurring, I would suggest check your elecrical wiring for shorts or improper grounding.

yes, they can if you haven't charged it before it hits the red zone however, you can replace the battery in the charger( usually it's a recyclable one), quite often this is cheaper than buying a new charger. You need to recharge your battery charger every 3 months as a minimum for it to stay working.
