You have to want to live in the present as much as a drowning person wants air. Develop the observing self that notices when you are in the past or future. When you notice, choose to bring yourself into the present. Focus on your breath for a while. When I'm breathing in, I'm breathing in. When I'm breathing out, I'm breathing out. Follow your bliss so you're not doing things you want to avoid and thinking about past or future to avoid being in the present. Get any book by Pema Chodron, a teacher of Mindfulness, a Buddhist practice.

I agree with the person who said to live one day at a time. Do something you enjoy each day and spend your time in the company of people you love or at least like. if you can enjoy all your moments, it won't matter if it is past, present, or future.

We live in the past or future by choice. We simply need to make the choice to concentrate on the present. "Your focus determines your reality".

It's a habit created by our societies. We have to work to break that habit and make a conscious decision to make the present our habitual focus.

Try looking up Mindfulness. It is the state of consciously being in the present. When you are driving your car, I sure hope you are in the present! Or I hope I don't live where you do, more importantly!

lose your short term memory. Because then you cannot have an immediate past and you certainly can't think about the future (because you can't think ahead if you can't remember what you were first thinking about). Meaning you are always caught in the present moment.

You're always in the present. You don't live in the past - you pine over it.

You don't live in the future, you hope for it.

Tomorrow never comes because it's always today.

We love ourself very much-so we are preoccupied with ourself.we remain confused-so avoid to stay in present. If we love & care for others then only we would be able to live in present & cherish it.

You're always present- in body. But to appreciate that state you need to be present in mind. To do that you should practice "mindfulness" and meditation.

we have to find the present more interesting than the subject of imagination. but there is no fast way, it takes years of training, and there will always be lapses into daydreaming
