Unfortunately I estimate that their are 27% that even if pictures of Gannon/Guckert and Bush playing Abu Ghraib in the Oval office came out would still support the guy. Shows what a sad state America is in. Only thing that would get those people to turn away from him is if he left Laura for Hillary.

Most ALL wartime president where not very popular at all during the wartimes. Especially closer to war-ends. But those same president have also been considered Great presidents. Especially ones who the war's start and end during thier Presidentcy.

Also, it all depends on who does these poll's

If a left leaning publication does a poll against a right leaning president, you will get a LOW number. However, if a left leaning publication does a poll on a left leaning president, then his numbers will be higher then normal.

One thing good about good and great presidents is that they do not sway thier opinions based on what the polls say. They usually do what is RIGHT for the Country and for the World. Just like what the current president is doing.

    God Bless...

Despite the fact that there are still some die-hard Bush supporters out there, I'm kind of expecting him to hit a record low. I'm also hoping that people are now so fed up that they are willing to vote in a Democratic majority in one or both houses of Congress this election year and perhaps have Bush held accountable for once.

Polls are media driven to give them something to talk about. Poll #'s change like the wind. That # will increase dramatically before he leaves office. You also conveinently forgot to post the approval ratings for the Congress. That number is at a whopping 15%. I would say that the Congress also has problems with poll #'s.

Tangerine - GWB can have a zero % approval rating and many of us would never vote for a democratic majority. Don't get your hopes up.

Hm... interesting. I'm going to agree with two other answers.

    1. You get what you vote for.

    2. No other president has had to deal with what he's had to deal with.

Who wants to be he'll go even lower?
