Tasty Baked Salmon Recipes?
I'd like some baked salmon but I always feel the seasoning and sauce are the limiting factor with this as there's not a lot you can do with the salmon steak itself. Does anyone have any good ideas on a sauce to accompany a baked salmon steak? Any thoughts on seasoning?

First off, you'll need butter, lemon or limes, garlic, and some pepper, and some Alm foil. Take the Alm Foil and coat it in a cooking spray. Make sure you have enough to wrap it shut. Place the salmon in the middle, and rub with the butter, this will help with the spices and taste. Next fine slice the lemon or limes into slim cirlce slices, and hold off to the side for now. The garlic can be crushed up and some left to place in later. Pepper and garlic the fish well, and apply the sliceson it. Now wrap it up in a pan and make sure the juices can move, you'll wish to flip it half way through. I use the oven at 350, and slowly bake it. Depending on how large you are cooking, make sure to cook well done. Again, half way through flip it over, and make sure the juices have coated the fish, don't pack the alm. foil tightly around it. When finished, yu may serve with the slices or not, I do for extra flavor and looks. What you will have is something that I've ate since I was 8, enjoy

I agree with the above. You really do not need any sauce for a baked salmon. However, when I prepare salmon steaks I just drizzle it with lemon juice, sprinkle with parsley and bake in the oven. Delicious!
But in case you need more, below is a site with many more recipes for salmon, with and without sauce accompaniments.

Personally I do not feel KING SALMON needs any sauce or seasoning because it has such a fatty content that is absolutely delicious! Baking it for a while sort of takes away some of the flavor, especially if you bake it for a LONGGGG time! You should try eating your salmon rare in the middle(by broiling it for 5-10 min or grilling)....

Lovely way is to cook it in paupiette - place in circle of grease proof paper - add light seasoning - butter - coriander - caramelised onions - whatever you fancy - close the parcel up at the top and seal. bake in oven for maybe 8-10 mins - when you dish up and your guests or even you cut open your parcels the steam flavour just hits you. serve with baby new potatoes and green salad. mmm

Honey, soy, lemon, and very coarse (almost whole) black peppercorns. Make to your tastes as long as it is still thick and "glaze-like". Brush it on, bake, and while baking boil and reduce the rest of the glaze to make it even thicker, and brush that on.
ENJOY!
