I don't care about cost, looks, or even if it's blue tooth. I just need a quiet headset where I can be in a coffee shop or a sidewalk and also on a client meeting at the same time.

I am trying to add block cipher functionality to a series of VBA modules in an Excel environment. I also want to learn more about this encryption algorithm. Since it is an open standard, I should be able to get this right? But I cannot find sample source code for VBA or even VB.NET.

I have a simple programming problem. I have several tables of numbers (in Excel) and I need to distinguish them from each other mathematically with a simple "digital sigature" type number. I don't really need a digital sig, but I do need some way of reducing the entire table to a simple number and using that number as an ID to distinguish it from another table.

My real tables are 100 rows long, but lets use a simple example of 5 rows: If Table A is the numbers [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] and table B is [2, 1, 3, 4, 5]. Then I need a way to come up with a single number that will be uniquely different for each table - so that is the positions of the numbers change, their "ID" signature will change as well. I can't use a simple sum, because obviously these would sum to the same number.

This is a lot like getting a digital signature - but that is beyond my programming ability. But with a signature, if any number changes anywhere, the whole signature is different.

Any ideas?

Have they traditionally been enemies?

I'm thinking about becoming certified. All of these require an open water dive, but I don't exactly live in the Carribean or Hawaii, and I don't feel like diving in a cold murky lake or river.

What do you think about taking classes in one location and then etting the open water dive at a resort somewhere else? Is that safe?

I've been told the IRS Enrolled Agent exam is now computer based and has 4 parts. I do not have a tax background. How hard would it be for someone like myself to pass the EA exam? Any current EAs care to comment?

I work at a large financial consulting firm, and many of my peers are licensed attorneys, CPAs, EAs (an IRS thing), etc. But my particular job involves Microsoft solution development. There's a large internal push going on to make sure that all client serving personnel are certified, but there is some flexibility in selecting a certification.

Which of these two options do you think has a longer lifetime? Are there additional options I should be considering?

What do you think? Are cuffed pants out of style or are they still cool on some dressy pants? Pleats are terrible I know, but what about cuffs with plain front pants?

I'd like some baked salmon but I always feel the seasoning and sauce are the limiting factor with this as there's not a lot you can do with the salmon steak itself. Does anyone have any good ideas on a sauce to accompany a baked salmon steak? Any thoughts on seasoning?
