i called in sick yesterday and today (which ofcourse was a lie) as i just didn't feel like going.....?

I occasionally take "mental health" days, which are basically days when I just can't bring myself upto going to work. Of couse, any sick days are days deducted from sick leave or personal leave so I am not off scott free. But I wouldn't be much good if I had to go in with the "I don't want to be here" attitude.

Why would you feel guilty? I sure could use some "me" time. I hate working so much.

If you really feel guilty, just make sure you dont do it again. Eventually you'll feel better because you have made up for it by being honest in the future.

Nothing is wrong with that. You need that extra time. We as humans are not robots. You need to take some personal days. Trust me, whenever i need a break, i take off on a friday or monday for a three day weekend. Lovely I tell ya.

PS: No need to tell them anything at all. None of their business if you are really sick. You dont have to discuss your health problems to them.

well whoever got the call probably knows that you were not sick. it's usually fairly obvious, trust me it happened to one of my dads co workers, he called in sick to go skiing. and everyone he was not sick. if u still feel really bad about it just fess up that you were not sick. even if you might get in trouble.

You earn that day, you pay for it, you should guilty if you left other people hanlde all the work... you should be doing
