Does anyone else like to ask questions just to see how irritated people will get?

I'm a big fan of asking about the “whatever's” of life. I can’t say I’m too interested 'bout race; I could take or leave religion, and immigration what is the point, but "whatever," now there in lies the truth to life. You're really getting profound, philosophic, philanthropic, prolific, productive even. Big life changes occur when people ask those whatever questions… kudos to you for your bravery in asking. For if no one asked whatever, the world would be an inhospitable wasteland of evil and strife. Bravo to you, brave soul for fighting the good fight, waging war against those who scorn the dumb questions rather than embrace the beauty of the limitless possibility of the injudicious question.

I try to treat all questions like they are serious and the questioner actually cares about my answer, often it helps me reflect on what I think about the issue but also I like to think that even if there is a 1/3 chance that this is a real question, it is better to try and relieve the anxiety inherent in the poster's query.

I mourn that there are people who abuse this system and just want to elicit knee-jerk answers from people, but to a degree, it is the answerer's fault for simply asnwering a question in a reactionary way instead of pondering the intent.

Also it is usually pretty easy to spot who is making a question simply for incendiary reactions. I usually report them.

it bugs me a lot when my friend does that at school. she thinks that anyone should be allowed in the united states, but i tell her, that it would raise taxes, and they could be terrorists
