What are my fellow heathen, pagan friends doing for Beltane?

BONFIRE! Definite necessity for more traditional Beltane. Big running cattle between two bonfires most traditional to purify the herd, but I have no cows... Ah well. Maybe just purify some marshmallows and put them on graham crackers with chocolate... They just don't make evil spirits to scare away like they used to...

I just got back from a Baltaine festival here in Oregon. Its at the same location in a national forest every year. About 200 or so people attend. This year we actually had a circus group attend and proform as the outgoing May Queen was a member. We did the typical tree selection, hole digging, maypole dance, woman/men's mysteries and evening bale fire and dancing. It was wonderful and fun as always. And of coarse, there were many...erm...'private' fertility rituals given up to the goddess ;)

The weekend of May 5th I'll be at a small festival and the weekend of the 12th I'll be at a much bigger one. Blessed Be and have a wonderful Beltane!!!

Driving around the town, staring at stupid people lighting fires APPARENTLY because of 1.st of May workers holiday, not having any bloody idea where this ritual really originates from... They just use it to get drunk...

This makes me really sad.

Me, I just went out in the fields and had a quiet moment for myself. And I'm lighting a couple of candles and drinking a horn of mead.

Just a little reverence sent the Lady and Lord's way, with a small celebration/recognition with my Wiccan-curious fiancé.

Ok, that rhymed, but I swear I didn't mean it to! We're both a bit busy as of late with a new job kicking off for him, and planning to buy our first car, planning our handfasting, budgeting our new expenses... I should likely take some real time to meditate and circulate my stress back out. You can't live with it and you can't live without it - *sigh.*

finally...another. Im just beginning to look into it, and i actually wasnt aware of beltane but if i find out the date i will be privatly celebrating and of course sending out good energy....and working on my karma! ;-]

i've got in no way accomplished it, yet i've got been questioning of having a pendulum. numerous of my acquaintances use pendulums for dowsing and healing. with my lack of ability to locate issues that are ideal in front of my face presently, i'm questioning a sprint power help could no longer harm.
