Any idea when she might get her period..I was 12 and 10 months when I got mine?

Puberty in girls starts between 8-14 so you your daughter i might say is having a normal development. About 2 to 2 1/2 years after a girl's breasts begin to develop, she usually gets her first menstrual period

My daughter is 10 years and 6 months an is now having her 2nd period, she had her first in March of this year.I started my period when I was 12 years old. I think it depends on the maturity of the child and the age the mom started her period.My daughter is well developed right now and I explain every aspect of life to her. I think it would be wise to just wait , be give your daughter the ground-work of what to expect,when she does have her period, so she wo'nt be so shoched when it does happen. Good Luck

I was 8½ when I got my period and was at school assembly where we all used to sit crossed-legged on the floor. I hadn't a clue what was happening and I was so scared.

Then I got bullied cos I had a 34D chest at age 10! It was embarrassing, and I got bullied for having boobs.

I hope your girl has gets it when she's a bit older, as having periods young is not fun.

There is no way to be sure but is she is developing already probably soon i was almost 11 when i started mine . Everyone is different but usually once a girl starts to develop that follows.

I was 10 & not ready. I gave my daughters information & neccessary items at 10 to keep in their closets so they were prepared when the time came.

I'm 23 and I still havent got mine.

It is quite possible she is going through precocious puberty. If so she will probably start any time.
