If you had twins, how would you name them?
Would you give them similar or alliterative names, like John and Jill, Ashley and Amanda, Sherry and Terry, etc... Or would you give each of them unique names with no similarity?

Unique, definately. It's going to be hard enough with two new kids, getting their names confused because they are similiar will make things worse!
Plus each child is different (even if they are identical) and it helps them to define themselves as one person, and not one set of twins, if that makes any sense

Wow. Twins. I'd go with alliterative just because trying to deal with twins has already gotta be a lotta work, and trying to remember their names would be crucial in times of stress, and I've got problems remembering my own name when I'm stressed.

I would pick names for each child just as I would for any two children, but I would try to get names that *weren't* similar. When you have twins, many people will already forget that they're separate people. You'll hear "the twins" much more often than "Michael and Jonathan" anyway. Why make it even harder for them?!

SERIOUS... my mother in law is a teacher and she had twins named Lemonjello and oranjello I swear, not sure about spelling, but nonetheless.... I would go with unique names personally, they will appreciate having something of their own, everyone is automatically going to recognize that they are twins, why accent the obvious?

I HATE when parents do that. Trevor and Travis, Katy and Kristin... it's like they look alike enough... give them seperate names for their individual personality's.
I would name mine what I felt at the time, that would still give them proper identification as to what they remind me of.

I agree with the third answer...give them someone unique at least. They look alike, they are usually dressed alike. Give them something that says they are one person, not always two.

I'd name them baby 1 and baby 2

I would name them something that sounds similar... Sara and Cara so if I call them the wrong name maybe it will go unnoticed!
