how many mormons...?

Question

have seen the south park episode about mormonism?  after i saw it, i decided to do some research, mostly on the lds website to see how acurate it was.  i was pretty shocked to see that it was incredibly acurate.  they didn't have anything about joe's helper losing the plates, but it did say that some plates were lost so joe wasn't allowed to read from them again.  and it never said anything about him reading them out of a hat.  

so, is this episode offensive or are you able to laugh at yourself/your religion sometimes?

Although I am not a MOrmon, many coworkers of mine are - and I am surprised how many of them do not know the basic beliefs of their faith - including that JOseph Smith had a prison record, that Reformed Egyptian never existed, that there is no archaelogical back up for the B of M, that the B of M conflicts with D and C and other key LDS holy books...

I'm not a Mormon and I'm not surprised to learn that South Park episode was close to actual LDS doctrine -- the best satire is always dead-on accurate.  

When you have time, look up some of Monty Python's Christian/Catholic satires, they're hilarious (and devastatingly accurate).

but i think that as christians we need to aproach mormons with love, and teach them wiht love what proper biblical christianity is and show them in our actions and teh way ewe talk to others is in love,and we need expose the truth to them, 
I my self actually belong to a penticostal : holy spirit-filled church that has emphasis on evangelism and showing people the truth that there is only one God, and that the only path to heaven is through Christianity. 
but remember we need to love the sinner, not the sin, i.e have compassion to those decieved by this cult.

well I don't watch south Park but there was one Anti that posted something kinda funny that made me Laugh he asked if the DVDs The LDS church gave out were rewritable, one of his funnier questions I have to say
