I have found that when I can't get a song out of my head it means something, for example once when I was feeling paticurlarly sad, and having a really bad day because my dad had died I turned on the radio and "how can I help you say goodbye" was playing, for 2 weeks this song was in my head all the time!, I know it was my dad telling me he was with me and he was trying to help me, I really relate to music and this happens to me quite a bit, think about whats going on in your life and what the song is telling you

Just listen to it over and over again on a player and it will eventually get old.

Or go take a long drive somewhere and get into a conversation with someone. The song will leave your head in no time.

I've been trying to figure that out myself. My kids watch cartoons all day and sometimes I find myself driving at work and singing the theme song to the Backyardigans and other cartoons. That's really bad considering I'm a cop.

Sing the song all the way through (instead of just singing the chorus or something)

If that doesn't work, sing the giligan's island theme song or it's a small world

Never buy the toy pony that sings 'I'm a little pony, clippity-clop, clippity-clop'. That will be stuck in your head for days.

Sometimes if I actually listen to the song, then turn on something else afterwards, it will go away.
