Actually, I believe God uses everything in life as metaphors and symbolism's. I believe nature is not only here to provide us with food, water, the ability to cloth and shelter ourselves, while at the same time providing a beautifull view from our living room windows, but to provide a vast wealth of understanding many of the mysteries around life, why we are here, what our purpose is, how we are to conduct ourselves and what is going to happen when we die.

Anytime an individual finds some meaning in an object, situation, or event is a victory for God. He wants us to use the 10% of our brain allocated for use in this lifetime. He wants us to grow spiritually, emotionally, intellectually. By seeing some meaning in something even as obscure as hockey being a metaphor of hell freezing over and a fight of good and evil, He has succeeded in assisting one of his children to grow. Just saying this as jest means the questioner is using his brain. Using your brain gets it active and allows for growth.

So, while we all laugh at this question, by asking it growth is occurring, by answering it we are provided a means to grow as well, and the laugh we get from it is another good coming from it.
