What do I need chemical wise, if I buy a new vinyl pool?

Some people get tons of stuff like water softeners, balancers and other things to complicated for a 3 year old. I just use chlorine and ph up and down. Get a test kit and follow the directions. Add Chlorine either poweder or tablets to get that right. Then add ph up or down to get that right. If the ph is right then the chlorine will dissipate rapidly which means it is free chlorine which is what kills the green stuff. Email me if you want a more basic explination.

Pool chemistry is far too complicated to answer here. I suggest you consult the store from whom you buy the pool. Most of them will give you a "lesson" in pool care. If you are planning on buying a pool from one of the mega box stores then go to a reputable pool company with a water sample and they will set you up on a chemical program. A 3 year old CANNOT do it. So you may be in for a disappointment!
