What most people call Daddy long legs spiders are actually Harvestman, which arent spiders at all-but there are spiders called daddy long legs

There are harvestmen, which are daddy long legs, and are not spiders at all (because they don't have a pedical fusing the cepholothorax and abdomen). Daddy long leg spiders look almost identical, but they are true spiders.

The Daddy Long Legs is not a spider, it is an insect, also known as the crane fly (Tipula oleraceae)

Daddy Longlegs are called harvestmen or harvest spiders. They belong to the order Opiliones.
