If the refrigerator had been laying down, wait 12 hours before plugging in. If it has been straight up as far as you know, it can be plugged in right away. You must wait for the coolant to settle down before plugging in.

You have to wait for the gas to settle back into the compressor but today's refrigerators only need an hour or two.

I would wait at least three hours to be safe.

I have never waited a moment to plug mine in. Just make sure all the cardboard and stuff is out of it.

The company that delivered it should have done this for you............oh well, plug it in.............as it will take some hours for the thing to chill the way it's suppose to.

Some instructions for electronic appliances advice to let the device warm to room temp. If it's been out in the cold. Something to do with sold state circuits, transistors I guess. Never heard this for a refrigerator.

If you had the frig transported on it's side the normal waiting time is around three hours. this allows the froen to settle back down. other wise you can just plug it in after an hour after it was moved into place. i hope this helps.

If it was laid down for any length of time, you need to wait 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows for the oil and coolant to return to the compressor.

after u plug it in you have to wait 24 hours so it can get at the right temperature so your food doesnt go bad

That depends on how it was moved, if there is any chance it may have been laying on its side wait 24 hours. This lets the freon settle to where it needs to go.
