my son is in a private school where swimming class is required. Also required is a lycra (speedo type) swimsuit. He says he won't wear it. I think it is a body/shyness thing.
should I force him, or should I write a note about some skin disease or something to excuse him, as he has suggested?

I can sort of sypathize. I would have done anything to get out of wearing shorts in gym when I was in high school.

He has been putting off getting the equipment that he needs and now says he won't wear the lycra swimsuit (Speedo type) that is required. I think it is a shyness problem. Should I force him to do it, or should I write a phony note about some skin disease or something to get him excused, as he suggests.
I can kind of understand his predicament. When I was in high school I would do anything to get out of wearing PE shorts, because I hated my legs.
