I did all these cool background things on my avatar, but it only appears from the neck up. Is there a way to make the whole picture show? <*)))><

Unfortunately, the whole avatar does not show up on Answers. Only the head shot shows. That is the only way that they will display.
In other Yahoo services, like 360, the whole body will appear when you hover your mouse over the image.

I agree w/the other dude ,in dis yahoo service the whole Avatar doesnt appear.Although in others it does.
