    That is a good question. I am from Texas. I moved to Maryland about 3 years ago. You would not believe the number of people that think just because you are from Texas that you ride a horse, love rodeos, and listen to country music. I personally do not care for any of the 3. It is simply stereotyping.

    Same reason everyone thinks everyone in WV marries their relatives. The same reason people think that everyone in NY are mobsters, or the same reason people believe everyone in CA are mostly superficial. Ignorance. Lack of information.

    I feel you. I live in Alabama and everyone thinks we marry our family members and live in a trailer. Totally opposite of the truth.
