Who outside of Australia has heard of the Beaconsfield Mine Disaster?

I was just wondering because the media has said that it is attracting worldwide attention but I haven't heard about where. Has anyone also heard about the Journalist, Richard Carleton, who died while doing his story there yesterday?

    I have read about both incidents, the journalist's death was most tragic, but if I recall correctly one miner died in the initial earthquake while two are still alive and their recovery is imminent.

    I read all this on the BBC website; here in the US not one news source has had any major coverage of the incident.
