If I want to write a novel (fiction), in what way can I do it?
Which one would be called fiction and which not:
1. I create fictional characters in a fictional historical setting.
2. I create fictional characters in a historical accurate frame. (like a novel about WWII for example)
3. I write about real people in an imaginary historical frame - but I take something from reality (like places, timeframe).
4. I write about real people in a real historical frame - I only make it very poetical.
How would each be called?

All are fiction apart from 4. Keep in mind, though, that if you refer to people by their real name and make it plain that it is them that you are writing about, you have to be very careful about the legalities. I'd stick to creating your own characters, that way you'll have more fun and get into less trouble ;)

Fiction is basically non-real..When both the cast and plot of the novel is imaginary its called Fiction...
Be sure to include nuthin about the real world ..as in no real life or true stories and then ur boundto get a fiction novel ..
In ur above given choices ...i feel only the 1st one is fiction and the rest are non-fiction !!

Fiction is what takes place in your MIND. I suggest you dream about it. But for your question, if ANY of your answers, have fictional characters, places or events, that makes it ALL fictional.

Previous replies are all accurate. But, to answer your question (If I want to write a novel, in what way can I do it?) - here is the answer:
Apply butt to seat, think, and write. NO substitute for this.
