    Singing cadence while marching is a simple way to keep a group of Soldiers in step while marching. It is also a morale booster. Cadences in the last 20 years have changed quite a bit, with offensive lyrics going out of style (and now violating several regulations). Different rates of cadence are sung for marching and running PT in formation.

    Marching is still the fastest and most efficient method of moving large numbers of people in an organized manner.

    I would not say that we 'enjoy it' but we at least tolerate it.

    Cadence calls are a way of making the process more enjoyable.

    I think you must have me confused with a Drill Sgt. But I'd be happy to yell in your face if it's what you're into. I guess everyone has thier "thing"...
