Question to Av's fans (or any hockey fans) regarding the NHL Playoffs...?

The Avalanche concede that Bryzgalov played well in Anaheim, but the (Av's) players also feel they haven't done much to get the Russian netminder out of his comfort zone.

My question is: If the Av's claim they haven't been playing well, why are they waiting until game 3 to finally step it up? Isn't that kind of a silly quote? To say they haven't been playing the past 120 minutes?

Oh, and GO DUCKS GO!!

Let's continue Bryzgalov's hot streak and make it 12, 13 and 14 periods with a "goose egg" on the score board!

Update:

Quote: Bryzgalov is no J.S. Gigure. He will not break Gigure's record.

Um...you talking about the shutout record? Um yeah, he did already break it.

The biggest problem the avs are facing at this point is we are afraid to test Theodore. We have to pull double duty on our defensive blueline, and we can't get any offense going because of it. I'd be a liar if i said i wasn't concerned about my avs chances in game 3 tongight. i think the shutout will end but i dont know about the outcome of the game. We need to trust theodore and play a little offense. Our defense isn't potent enough to cherrypick back on our blueline. Hey i just said that. oh well, im emphasizing it

The Avs might win one at home, but I have absolute faith in my Ducks to advance. I'm looking forward to an all California Conference Championship. Is Bryzgalov the new golden child? He's got the talent and the nerves, it seems, but the pressure is on now. I do think that Gigures' record will stand and that the Avs will be making more silly statements to try to account for their lackluster performance. GO DUCKS!!!

By the way, I am an Anaheim native, so my views are only slightly biased ;)

It was said because their back is against the wall. Bryzgalov has been spectacular and the Avalanche cannot seem to figure him out. They cant just let the ducks think they are in command, so they make an excuse to try and build their self esteem and gain some momentum. Now, if the avalanche come out strong and win, people will assume the avalanche werent lying and they werent playing their best in the first two games when in actuality, they were. hope that makes sense.

They admit to not have playing their best. It's not that they haven't been trying. It's like a team cold streak. If they get back on track, Bryzgalov's streak shouldn't last much longer.

To hell with the damned Avalanche! They had their time, 2 cups, now it's the Ducks' turn! Bryz is the man, and nothing Colorado can do will get to him. Let's see another Russian Revolution!

The Avanlanche should get back on track tonight.
