    Record as of November 30

Los Angeles (9-13-4) at Phoenix (8-15-0)

So what's the fun of watching the bottom 2 teams in the Pacific, not to mention bottom feeders in the Western Conference?

Post here is you WILL be watching this game... and why?

  • WOOHOO!! Anaheim Ducks beat the Oilers!?

This isn't much of a question but a way to say--

TOO BAD OILERS FANS! Your booing didn't help you win.

    Hahahaha!!

Pronger comes back to Edmonton and the Ducks (Still #1 in the West) beats your sorry team.

The best thing Pronger did was to get traded. He found out the Oilers fans turn on ex players like a pack of deranged wolves!

Get over it. Pronger likes the good life in Anaheim. No Snow to shovel (EVER) and he can wear shorts and t-shirts YEAR round. Last time I checked, Oilers fans lose colour in their skin because you're covered in snow!

    GO DUCKS!!

  • HELLLO!!! Post Season Baseball is NOT OVER YET!!?

What the #($*! Baseball season is not over yet people!

I am so sick that just because NYY got eliminated, the stupid broadcasters think the center of the universe has crashed and burned.

    Sorry, folks, Steinbrenner failed... again.

The NYY fat payroll didn't pan out... again

and maybe the Yankees should thank their lucky stars they were not swept, just beaten by the lowly Detroit Tigers.

So it is still Game On! Be a "TRUE" baseball fan and watch the Mets/Cards and Tigers/ A's. Life does not revolve around whether or not A-Rod waives his no trade clause, or whether Torre has a job in a few months.

WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT THOSE LOSERS!!?

  • Decent priced hotel to stay near NYC?

I would like to visit NYC for a hockey game (so we're talking after October) and to see a Broadway play. Obviously a "decent" Manhattan hotel would cost me at least $300 a night, so I'll have to stay outside the Manhattan bourough.

Can anyone recommend a hotel or area that is

    1) in a decent part of town, college town ok

    2) close enough where I can catch the subway to get to the Rangers and/or Islanders game and also to see the Play/Musical and

    3) is a hotel .. not a Hostal. If its a hostal, it should be nice then!

Any links to a specific hotel or part of town is appreciated.

My ideal per night rate is $125-150 and staying 5-7 days.

There will be me and the hubby... no kids.

  • Gift suggestion for a friend's 2nd marriage?

My girlfriend I have known since high school is getting married for her 2nd time, but it is her fiance's first marriage. She is a successful doctor in her late 30's/early 40's and she also has a little girl from the 1st marriage.

I do not know if she is registered anywhere, so lets assumed she is not. She's getting married at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and she lives in San Francisco.

I do not wish to go to those engraving places and I do not wish to get a picture album or ordinary things like that, and I also do not want to give her cash.

I am not independently wealthy but am willing to spend $100-$150 on the couple. And I am not good with arts and crafts and do not plan to make her a quilt or anything like that.

Please read the description before answering. Remember I have to haul it to Vegas and she has to haul it to San Fran.

  • My 2 year old Cairn Terrier won't stop barking.. Neighbors very upset!?

I have a 2 dogs: a 13 year old Lhapa mix (who's perfect!) and a 2 year old Cairn Terror, I mean terrier.

She's an inside dog but I live in a townhouse, where I share a wall with my neighbor. The dog does not bark when we are at home. She's an Angel when we are home. When we are gone to work or do to errands, she barks. I am not sure if its non stop but she does bark at anything.. moving tree, the cats meowing etc.

We even kept the TV on, but the neighbor said he can hear her through the walls! We tried the high pitch collar, but it annoys her even more. We are thinking about the shock collar but don't want to spend money if its a waste, and my husband even thought of de-barking her, but i think its inhumane.

She's been a barker since she was a pup, and we thought its a phase. Its not... so HELP! I don't want my neighbor to hate me.

PS: The latest crisis was Sunday on Mom's Day. We left the house early at 7 am, and got a call on the cell from the neighbor, a bit upset

  • Any teen-friendly restaurants near North Orange County??

My niece is turning 16, and I want to take her and her friends to celebrate with a classy dinner.... so not fast food joints, please. Somewhere in the North Orange County area, like near the Buena Park; or South LA County, like Cerritos area, since none of the kids can drive. Will go to HB/ Garden Grove area... so say within a 10 mile vicinity.

I'm probably going to pick up the tab, so don't want to spend a lot of money ($10 per teen) yet I want these girls to have a great Sweet 16 party.

I was thinking of BJ's Pizza in the Cerritos Mall area but what or where else is out there? Suggestions??

Note: Dave & Busters is out. You can't be under 21 after 10 pm. I want to celebrate it on a Friday night.

  • Question to Av's fans (or any hockey fans) regarding the NHL Playoffs...?

The Avalanche concede that Bryzgalov played well in Anaheim, but the (Av's) players also feel they haven't done much to get the Russian netminder out of his comfort zone.

My question is: If the Av's claim they haven't been playing well, why are they waiting until game 3 to finally step it up? Isn't that kind of a silly quote? To say they haven't been playing the past 120 minutes?

    Oh, and GO DUCKS GO!!

Let's continue Bryzgalov's hot streak and make it 12, 13 and 14 periods with a "goose egg" on the score board!

  • Football (futbol) or Soccer is the #1 sport in the world. So why doe it stink in the US?

The World Cup is going to be played this June in Munich, Germany. Europe is buzzing about it, yet there's no news about it here in the US.

WHY is it that soccer/futbol is the most popular sport all over the world yet North America can care less? It is because the Americans stink at it?

  • why are the demonstrators here waving the mexican flag?

The "May Day" demonstrations against deporting illegal immigrants are going on here in LA. If the immigrants want to stay in this country, why are they waving a flag that is not American? This doesn't show much support for their so called beloved 2nd home.
