Short Religious question?

Why is it that questions and answers need to be short in the Religion/Spirituality page otherwise people won't read them? Isn't that unfortunate since these questions are so in depth?

(short answers ONLY please!!!!!!!!!) ha

Some, but very little, of what goes on here has to do with "depth."

About 70% of it is: "Why aren't you praising the Lord my way which is the only way - and here's the scripture that proves it?"

Some 15% is frustration re the 70% - "Stop talking shite!!" (These tend to be brief, and sometimes very funny.)

The other 15% is a mixed bag of teen angst, prurient curiosity, and the occasional intelligent remark or question. I have read an occasional "longie" with depth.

If someone actually takes the time to write a long response, that's one thing, but if they want to copy and paste from a website, why not just put the link to the site? I don't mind long questions either as long as I can find the question in there somewhere. Sometimes I read them and still have no clue what the person is asking.

You need to read some of the answers I have seen. Freaking 8 page dissertations on the difference between Catholics and other catholics yet what region and do they like cake and if so with fruit in between the layers and what that means for canonization and did the disciples like apples anyway. Way too much for a fun site like this

I like questions that provide the most information possible for me to be able to give my best answer. You are very right, most of these questions are in-depth. I don't like it when someone cuts and pastes a bunch of stuff they expect us to read. Many Muslims quote the Q'Ran (sp?) in this way. I also try to provide in depth answers when necessary. I don't have many best answers, maybe I need to be more brief.

I don't know but it seems that most of the people that answered this question think all the people in the Religion/Spirituality page are Christians.

Prayer for you and yours. <><

  • Human nature, I'm afraid. People usually go with the first or the last part of a series of questions and lose the rest.

Or sometimes they just respond to what they are comfortable with or have time for.

Shortest answer as possible: Religeous people are sheep, they cannot think for themselves and need the validation of others. They are also programmed by their Church to accept only short answers... "Why is it this way?" "Why do we believe this?" "FAITH." is the answer. One damn word, no thought given...

As a Christian I apparently have a very low I.Q. and couldn't be expected to read anything more than three lines long or with big words in it.
