I'm a young Christian mom. That about says it all.

  • Four-year-old doesn't say "k" sound?

She pronounces it as "t" every time she talks. Kick is "tick", cat is "tat", etc. Is this normal? Outside of that, she has an excellent vocabulary and is reading simple words. Should I be worried about her speech?

  • Financial Aid for Early Childhood?

I was working at a daycare until recently. I decided to switch from a secondary ed. major to early childhood. While at the daycare, someone came from a state program offering financial aid to anyone wishing to further their education. I jumped at the opportunity to receive more info, but so far haven't heard anything. This is supposedly separate from the FAFSA and other state aid. It's a program for early childhood majors in Illinois. Does anyone know a website or anything?

  • I'm sure I want a divorce but...?

My husband and I have been married 2 1/2 years. We have a daughter who's too young to have an opinion. He cheated me and said he wanted a divorce. Now he's having second thoughts. I don't believe in divorce, but I don't want to stay married for the wrong reasons. I've always believed once a cheater always a cheater, and he has shown no remorse. I'm thinking about packing up and taking our daughter, but I don't want to be charged with kidnapping. What should I do?

  • Batman Comic Anthology?

For lack of a better word, my Dad had complete anthologies of Batman, Superman and Spiderman comics. One book contained every comic from the creation to the mid70's or 80's, I assume. For some reason, he threw them out years ago. I don't know comics, so I don't know what a book (hardcover) containing an entire series would be called. Any help is greatly appreciated. How can I find them?

  • Does anyone know the rest of these poems and songs?

"Coo, coo says the little dove,

    Coo, coo, says its little mate;

They play with each other in love,

And never show anger or hate"

Is there more to this? What about this one:

    "Swiftly, swiftly flew the ship

    Yet she sailed softly too:

    Sweetly, sweetly blew the breeze--

    On me alone it blew

  • American Girl Books....In Josefina's books...?

Does anyone know the rest of the words, or even the titles, to any of the songs in Josefina's books? I know an old hymn and Psalm were quoted in Felicity's books, and I was wondering if the songs in Josefina's were longer, too. Thanks!

  • If someone looks both male & female?

i.e. has long hair and big lips, but talks with a DEEP voice, or just looks like a man, but sounds like a woman, how do you address them? Should you say "ma'am" or sir? I have tried not to say anything. What is appropriate?

  • My peanut butter is part of the recall, what should I do with it?

Should I take it back to the store? Should I mail it somewhere? Each of us has a different symptom of salmonella, and I don't know if it's linked, but I don't want to take any chances. Any help?

  • Why can't I get Birth Control without a prescription?

Especially since Plan B is available OTC? Our insurance just ran out, and it bugs me that teenagers can get Plan B to stop pregnancy, but we (my husband and I) can't get any form of the pill without a prescription. I use the Norethindrone tablets, and it's hard to figure out what is what on those on-line pharmacies.

  • My husband and I need to deep clean our house?

Much like the "clean sweep" type shows. Does anyone have any tips for what needs to be done, and how to go about doing it? I love that they put everything on the lawn, but we're in an apartment, so that's not happening. Also, it has to be done this week since he's on vacation right now.

  • There was this simulator ride at Sea World?

I rode it in the summer of 1992. I don't remember what it was called, just that we sat in movie-theater type seats. There was a screen in front, and we watched people board a submarine, and we "boarded" with them. We descended to the depths of the ocean, to "explore" a sunken ship. As part of the show, something went wrong and water started gushing in the sub. I think it was a simulator ride, but it may have just been a movie. I believe it ended with the sub reaching the top of the ocean, but I can't remember. Does anyone know what this ride was called, and if it's still there? Thanks!
