I also recived this email, and have to agree that while we do not know exactly where all of this took place the best guess for most of it is Iraq. Because Iraq is such a large country, and because the travel in those times was limited to where the cities and water were located we can assume that a lot of what happened did infact happen in Iraq. The whole Middle East can claim some part of the bible happened right there, so this is not so surprising.

Some of it is true, such as the Jerusalem falls to Babylonia, but Iraq was not named or settlled as Iraq until 1958. You can check on wikipedia.org for a history of Iraq and its settlements.

Biblically, the areas of Greece, the Mediterranean, Egypt, and Syria as well as Israel were where most Biblical events took place. This also includes Palestine, The Dead Sea area, and the Arabian and Eastern deserts.

If you are really interested in finding out, see if your local library or a website online has a Bible Atlas, showing maps of the regions where most Biblical events took place. This would help you quite a bit to visualize some of these events.

Also, if you read the Bible, there are maps in most Bibles showing the regions involved in the particular book you are reading, as well as in the introduction to the Book, which tells where it takes place if known.

As strange as it sounds most of the list is quite true and correct. You may also want to know that the Plains of Megiddo are located between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in Iraq, the Plains are also known by a more frightening Biblical term, the Plains of Armageddon.

Yes I would say most could be true, the same if you follow what is happening there and surrounding countries now for years and currently. Is where our finale & greatest showdown will take place eg: valley of Megiddo (Armageddon). Read Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah etc…

Yup, quite a few of those things did happen in the area that is now Iraq. I don't think all of them did, but quite a few did.

Hmmmm And it makes you wonder why the iraqi People aren't all Christians or Jews....Hmmmm also some of what you said is true but so what...Everything in the bible happend in the middle east....and its been a very very crazy place...since forever.

I believe they are all true. Also, the ladder with angels ascending and decending that Jacob saw [Bethel] was on the border of Iraq.

This is a good question I don't know if that is true or not but do your research, if the bible states this, then it's true. I don't know why you are so concerned. Is it because of the war and you can't phantom the fact that this is going on.
