Is there a PhD or MBA program with concentration in E-Marketing?

E-Marketing (marketing via the web) seems to emerge as the next phase of marketing and I would like to know if there is currently in place a PhD or MBA program with this major offered by an academic institution.

Penn State has some classes in eBusiness, including one covering eMarketing. TCU also has some classes in that area. Both of those business schools have typically been ahead of the curve in new fields. So, if doing an MBA, those might be worth considering. I actually took some MBA classes at TCU, and was quite impressed with their program.

For a Ph.D., however, I wouldn't be concerned with whether they actually have a concentration in your field or not...only that they allow you to pursue it. If you find a department that is willing to give you the flexibility, you can do research in that area, regardless of whether there is a designated field or not. In such a new area, it is unlikely that there would be a degree program dedicated to it yet, but with a Ph.D. in that field, you would be able to easily set the tone for building such a program somewhere later if you decided to teach.

    Best of luck to you.
