People in Michigan................?
Does anyone wonder what in the world happens to all the money generated by the lottery? It's supposed to go to our schools, but our schools are closing and consolidating and our teachers are being pink slipped or asked to take early retirement. What's happening to the supposedly millions of dollars that the lottery commissioner keeps talking about on his commercials? Our schools should be improving if we have all that money. I'm not seeing any improvements.
VERY funny hellion! And probably true!
Amen Bill!!!!!!!

I have seriously heard that much of the money is, in fact, redirected to a mysterious "general operating fund." By the time the leftovers trickle down to the school district level...it is little or nothing..
Michigan desperately needs to get rid of its hundreds of individual school districts and consolidate them into a number that can be managed for far less expense...
Also, we need to go Unicameral in Lansing..time to "cut the fat" and get rid of the bicameral system...
These clowns work part time..yet get huge salaries..perks..travel..and lifetime heathcare for serving even just one term.....Now that is a pretty sweet deal...
And, oh yeah, let us get Granholm the heck out of Lansing this fall..
Thanks!

>last words of drivers in 612 % of fatal crashes were, "Oh ****!" Only in
>Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan were different, where 89.3 %
>of the final words were, "Hold my beer, I'm gonna try something

Here in Missouri, they sold us the lottery on the idea that it would go to education. Soon after we started the lottery we found that the state was just putting the money in the general fund. We had to have a special election to mandate that the funds went to education, and still dosent look like its getting there.

First Michigan is a State in DECLINE. The mayor if Detroit is a crook OPENLY..a thug running this once great city that looks like a third world nation. I would challenge anyone to google picture of Detroit and just look at the filth of this city and it's government. Michigan will have to hit bottom first...then we in other States will come to clean up the mess...like us here in Ohio

I used to live in Kalamazoo, and I always wondered what was happening to the lottery money, Michigan said it was all winding up in the Detroit school district, but i did not believe it.
