why do mothers as they get older get cranky?

All women (mothers and non-mothers) get cranky as they age. You try pushing a couple (or more) watermellons through your body whole and then give up your life for the next 25-30 years, during which time your body starts to fall apart and your health declines. Then they hit their teens and turn on you and tell you you are not worth anything and "can't understand how they feel". Then they finally leave home and shortly there after they start using Grandma as a convenient (and free) baby sitter.
Then you tell me how cranky you would be!

we found our baby loves a routine, and by four months babies are ready for one as they need sleep so much. cranky at feedtime can be overstimulation from lack of sleep, milk supply can be slowing or lacking nutrients (easily bumped up by adding an extra feed for three days to a week, or checking nutrition of mum), or mum may be eating a new food, onions, garlic, spices, cabbage, the white stems of silverbeet, or similar. FENUGREEK is amazing for increasing milk supply. Our friend went from low to overflowing! burping porperly during feeds is important for some babies. Burp after each side, and possibly in the middle of each side. Our baby would get squirmy, then cranky. My wife would catch her at the squirm stage, she would seem really disturbed that her feed was interferred with, but then the loud BUURRRP! came. satisfaction!!! Most babies can start moving to a four hourly routine at around four months of age. One sleep cycle should last about 45 minutes, and a four mth old should have at least 2-4 cycles per sleep. Feed, Play, Sleep over four hours. Feed and play should last 1- 1 1/2 hours, and sleep should be 3 - 3 1/2 hours.

They've had a long life and alot of crap to deal with. Plus their kids are irritating even though they love them so much and that drives them crazy. They miss when they were kids and didn't have to do everyone else's stuff, like cook, clean , love, nurture, go to the grocery, spend their whole check on their child, buy bigger homes, wrap a thousand x-mas presents, do laundry, wash dishes, go to parent-teacher meetings and ballgames, fix hair, take up for their kid when they kick their teacher in the chin, talk about the birds and the bees .....................

Menopause! Most of the women I know have gone through horrible menopuse symptoms that includes moodiness. They are happy one minute and bite your head off the next. Time will heal all though. It usually doesn't last that long.

Perhaps the older you get and the less time you have left on this planet, the lower your tolerance for nonsense.

Because their children are getting on their nerves the older they grow.
