What is the best way to kill ants in a yard?

pour hot water mixed with baking soda onto/or into ants/ants hill

blend those factors mutually in a small bowl: 3 a million/2 oz. of Jam a million a million/2 tablespoons of moist canned cat food a million tablespoon of boric acid position a small volume via the mound. This concoction is a manage for ants and the staff will deliver the manage to their queen. The queen receives excited and immediately gobbles up the goody. interior of a few hours she will be able to die from heartburn. without her, the colony will die. verify the little ones and animals steer clean of it. It would not take a lot to do the job. i have used this for red ants, would artwork on black ants as well. Sprinkle a good volume of prompt grits around the mound. they're going to devour this, bloat up and die.

The cheapest and most effective thing I have found to date is scalding hot water right into the anthill. This will get rid of the ants this year but they may be back next year so you do it again. Costs nothing and doesn't harm the environment.

Why do you want to kill ants in your yard? I could understand if they were in your house but ants are good and useful for the ecosystem. You shouldn't kill them if they're outside. If you kill the ants it'll mess up the ecosystem and therefore will be harmful to animals.
