Non Christians: Why do you care so much what Christians think?

This is a real questions and I would like serious real answers from Non Christians. Why are there so many people on here dedicating thier life to bring Christians down. I see so many that are not even close to being Christian, nor do they want to be, but they seem to find themselves in the religion/spirituality section of this board. Why? Why can't you be tolerant of Christianity like you are of Gay marriage, abortion, etc? It's a serious question. I don't push my beliefs on anyone, but you seems to push your's on me...

    Yes.

why do non christians come here anyway. at least they are learning something, so that when they stand before God they will have NO EXCUSE, as to why they did not believe, it will be their OWN FAULT when they are given the second death

This is a joke right? Care to guess how many millions have died for lack of belief? Or belief in the "wrong" thing? Like the world is round? Now I am not saying it's ONLY Christians, or even they are the worst. Both untrue. But Pulling the CHURCHES teeth and declawing them, here in America, is a great start at ridding the world of a truly oppressive class system.

Source(s): Notice I say Church, not Religon. Religious people seem friendly and nice. The churches though, another story.

I am a Wiccan, I respect all other religions even if I don't worship them. I respect the opinions of others even when I don't agree with them. I am married to a Christian and my family is Christian.

Tolerance and respect is a two way street. You have to give it to receive it. I do not push my beliefs on anyone and I have been told numerous times that I need to be saved, am going to hell, that I should burn etc... And yet I'm still respectful.

There are intolerant people in every religious background - please don't stereotype.

There are several reasons why Non-Christians have problems with Christians (not necessesarily the religion, the practitioners).

    1. Many of them lobby to have their personal stances endorsed as law onto others, when their reasoning is restricted to their worldview. This would be unfair to people of other worldviews.

    2. The behaviour of some around Non-Christians is condescending and these people apparently are unable to separate themselves from their worldview to consider others.

(EDIT: A pretty good example of #2 would be the poster above me)

    As A Use-To be christian,

My goal is to educate the Christians that the church has lied to us about GOD and Jesus. The christian will not allow it's self to think on it's own, that when the preacher said this block in my hand is BLACK and it's obvious that it's White, the christian will see that the preacher argument is correct and since it referenced in the bible but pertaining to something else, they may wonder but they will accept.

The church and its people claims they want to live like Jesus did, they see what's going own in the world and they give money, clothing, ect. but the church will not speak up to the government to change these wrong for the fear the government will audit there treasure

The history of Christianity certainly is one of bloodshed, atrocities and genocide. Why is the attitude among Christianity changed now, why is there now no Inquisition or Crusades?

I'll tell you why, because free-thinkers and common human decency repelled the horrendous crimes done in the name of God.

And there is something uncanny about 'faith', to accept something when there is no evidence for it, we're supposed to "take it on faith". To claim 'faith' is to give up and say that there is no evidence, and if that is the case we might as well believe anything. 'Faith' is unable to distinguish something as false or true.

It's child abuse to indoctrinate children into a fear of Hell when they're so small that they'll take it literally and will be scarred by such doom-sayings. Children should not be indoctrinated, they should be given the tools to investigate for themselves to find out what is true or false, and come to their own conclusions.

People attack Christians because they are perceived as being successful. Christians have a long and glorious history. You could say that "Christ's Kingdom" is now the planetary standard of greatness. Those who feel they can not contend with that ancient greatness, will try to tear it down for spite. Those who can, are civil.

    i'm non christian.

i agree there is a lot of pointless bickering between christians and non christians on these forums. i think people enjoy it, but it gets boring.

but non christians have just as much reason to be holding discussions under this section. it doesn't purport to be a pro-religious section, so one should expect debate from all perspectives. also spirituality doesn't have to have anything to do with religion.

Christians obstruct the progress of science. They are ignorants when it comes to earth science. They make a fool of themselves when they say God created everything. The sad thing is they read the Bible that was written by a group of idiots that does not make any sense.

i'm a non christian and i could care less, but just as there is a hand ful of non christians that do what you say there is also a handful of christians that judge all others.

AND PEOPLE ARE NOT ALL TOLERANT OF GAY MARRIAGE AND ABORTION, that's why people bomb abortion clinics and gay marriage is a contriversy.

Breathe, relax, unwind. When hate rushs at you, bend like a reed in the wind. Let is blow past you. It can only affect you, if you let it.

Not all non-christians are fixated on you. Not all Christians are fixated on non-christians.

Hate only has power if it has a place to rest.
