    Here's the typical explanation:

At death, our spirits are separated from our bodies. Our bodies rot and are buried or whatever. Our spirits continue to live and go to a place or state called the "spirit world". In the spirit world, there are basically two possible states. People who were righteous are in a state called "paradise". People who weren't are in a state called "spirit prison". A missionary force from the spirits in paradise was organized to teach the spirits in prison. Therefore, many people in spirit prison will hear the gospel of Jesus Christ in the spirit world and repent of their sins.

After a period of time in the spirit world, we will be resurrected. This means that our spirits and bodies will be reunited, but not as they are now. Instead, our bodies will be immortal, so this state will be our eternal state. We will be judged by Jesus Christ and assigned to a state that is appropriate for us, based on our choices. The people who make the most righteous choices will have the privilege of being in the presence of God, the Father, and Jesus Christ for eternity.

Unless the DEAD people can come alive and tell us NO ONE knows any authentic answer. Thank GOD you have said just WONDERING what others THINK. So all of us can do guess working only , day dreaming, dreaming abour HEAVEN, or dreaded about HELL or worried about GHOSTS, SPIRITS etc etc.Of course the physical BODY does not go anywhere and remmains in the grave to be dug by the archealogical society (unless donated for experiment to any medical reaerch foundation or got burnt altogether or thrown to VULTURES as done by ZOURASTRIANS)

I would advise that all these heaven and hell theory are to instill a sense of fear/discipline for a good conduct in society when we are alive. Why not we follow and be goood citizens.

If you have accepted Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Saviour and asked Him for forgiveness of sins, then you will go to heaven when you die. If you have not, then you will go to hell.

you will go to the life of death called "Al-Burzokh". you will either be tortured in the grave or becomes a pieace of heaven.

But you will not Enter Hell or paradise yet. all that in the Judgement Day. God has the final word of whom go to Hell and whom go to Paradise.

We get to see our loved ones again. It will be a happy time for most of us. I look forward to seeing my daughter who passed away, and living with my wife forever.
