do you think they should raise the age for military service and allow older people serve?
suddenly we have so many patriots and they are quick to tell others that they are not patriotic yet, some of them have never served in the military. They support this illegal war wholeheartedly. why not raise the age then they could raise up out of the recliners and show some real patriotism!
ok I didnt say antique lol I said older while they are on the soap box quick get them off and send them to some of the wars that are being created that they believe so much In. If you've served already then this question is obviously not referring to you.

Only if they are those who were for the war and have an income of $80,000 or more. Bush should serve as soon as his term is over. He should be a Humvee driver.
My son is dead and I don't have a grandson and I damn sure wouldn't go to Iraq and I am a Vietnam veteran with 8 years active service.
I am only aware of perhaps 3 members of the House or Senate who have had a son in Iraq in the past 3 years:
Sen. Tim Johnson (D-South Dakota), whose son Brooks serves in the Army.
Two more Congressmen had sons who REPORTEDLY were sent to Iraq in late 2003 or early 2004: Representatives Joe Wilson (R-South Carolina) and Duncan Hunter (R-California).

The men sitting in recliners that you are speaking of served in Vietnam, Panama, Granada and Desert Storm.

With Iraq and Afghanistan - and next possibly Iran - requiring more human strength, I think the age for military should be raised. Better they raise it 80 so as to despatch all the senior citizens to fight for us.

The max age for recruitment could be bumped up a few years, but if you go too far, then the people are less physically fit generally.

There are already many, many young healthy Republicans that are very outspoken about the war yet refuse to enlist.

It wouldn't work. The U.S. needs young individuals - who don't know any better - to take advantage of and use to fight for the ECONOMIC STABILITY of the nation.
