What does illegal immigration really mean to you today and for America in general in the future?

If one honestly considers the seige currently being conducted on this country today it becomes blatantly obvious that left unchecked the political and economic landscape as we know it today will virtually vanish before our very eyes.

Is it already too late or do there still exist viable alternatives to this literal invasion across our southern border?

To me it means we have plenty of cheap landscapers and people working at McDonalds.

To the country it means more crime, rapes and murders as illegal immigrants commit a larger proportion of crimes as a group.

It means more students in schools that are struggling financially. And it means a much greater chance to have another major terrorism event since our borders are so wide open.

If illegals get the right to vote, they will vote conservative Republican as almost all are anti-abortion and understand nothing more than the dogma the Catholic church spews which has been the major destructive force in all banana republics due to overwhelming population explosions, suffering of women and children (see the homeless children of most south American countries such as Brazil) and starvation and poverty.

In ten years or less, you will see no difference between America and Mexico in terms of standard of life.

Well, illegal immigration is offensive to me. It is a spit in the face of all immigrants who have come here and contributed to our society. If you have been reading the post, many of the por-illegal alien supporters are talking about the future when they will rule over us. I really think that many of the latest wave of 11 million + illegals mostly from Mexico don't have intentions of fully becoming American. They want to work here and stay Mexican.

They are here and there is nothing we can do to send them back. My solution is to give every illegal 120 days to apply for their green card. We will grant them ASAP. This will get all who want to become an American a deadline to jump on the path of citizenship. This will get them their SS card and get them paying into the system ASAP. All who do not apply by the deadline, will loose their chance to ever become legal fo ever. Also, our constitution must be ammended so that anyone born here to a parent of an illegal will have the citizenship of their parent's country. It must apply to all.

We should require that all television stations that are broadcast in a foreigh language to have mandatory english subtitles and daily programming to teach basic english.

If the illegal immigrants want to stay here and work they will get an "illegal" card that would deny them any future social services. The Mexican govt. should then be required to build health service centers in any town where there is a sizeable illegal population and the illegals would be required to go there for any and all of their healthcare needs. If they don't like it then too bad, they missed their chance. The illegals wanting to stay here would have no political voice and economic opprotunity.

(NOT BEING PREJUDICE) Illegal immigration to me is really wrong. For one if you're not a legal citizen in the U.S then you shouldnt get the benefits of the constitution or healthcare and such. Also the illegal immigrants do not pay taxes, which means every time they get some paycheck that doesnt take out money for our government it is basically stealing. If stronger actions arent taken now then america could be losing more and more money to illegal immigrants not paying taxes therefore a larger debt for our government.

It is not too late but an enormous effort and money must be injected into this project of enforcing our immigration laws, securing the border, and removing illegals that are here with no obvious productive and law-abiding lifestyles. The alternatives exists but its up to the American citizens to make their voices heard and make demands upon our government to see them through.

Since both democrats and republicans want to reward these lawbreakers with amnesty, I don't think there is anything that can be done legally, unless of course this country starts electing 3rd party candidates who aren't in big business's hip pocket.
