It depends on his age of course, if old enough he might be losing his sexdrive naturally.

BP pills could definitely be the problem, they can actually make you feel quite unwell. Unfortunately, there are many different meds that can affect sexdrive in both men and women. The effect is not always immediate so it wouldn't be unusual after your husband has been on the pills for 3 years.

Be patient with him, it may take a little longer to get him going, but it'll be worth it. Us women take it to heart if they don't 'want' us but try not to strop or say anything spiteful. Put the shoe on the other foot and imagine how you would want him to act if it was you losing your sexdrive.

I'm sure you can work through it and the good news is, it might even be a temporary low in his drive.

    Best wishes x

Sometimes the Medication could be the culprit. However, if he has been on these medications for three years, it could be something else. Is it just his sex drive, or is he unable to get an erection? Elevated blood pressure causes damage to the blood vessels over periods of time. Since the penis is a vascular organ, and relies on good circulation to create an erection, this damage can sometimes create difficulty in this area. Diabetes, being overweight, and having high cholesterol are also contributing factors.

If he is having trouble getting an erection, make sure that he is in good health and that his BP is well controlled (around 120/60-135/80). If it is just his "sex drive", Lotrel and Toprol can both cause these problems. Talk to your doctor. If his meds are not the problem, then talk to your husband. Don't pressure him. It will only make the situation worse.

I would bet the cause is the medication for BP. I worked with a woman whose husband had the same problem and his Dr. changed his medication. Your husband may be able to take an ED medication as well but that would all depend on how bad his high blood pressure is and what his Dr. thinks is safe.

It could be, however it could be something else.

He may need ED medication. OR, like my wife and I had to do, jazz things up a bit.

Using toys, and doing it in different places in the house provides memorable memories.

Have his see his doctor. The meds could definitely effect sex drive because they effect blood vessels, and this effects the ability to have an erection. It may be that another med, or combination of meds will control his blood pressure, and still allow him to have more of a sex drive.

Men only get martried when theyre too scared to dump stupid aggressive women so its probably not the pills.
