Why hasn't a group of people gone to kansas to protest the church that protsests soldiers funerals?

While I probably wouldn't have put it in those exact words, I think you're right. People should go protest the church protesting soldiers' funerals. It's an indecent and unchristian thing for them to do. The reason why it's not being done, however, is because it's KANSAS. No offense to the good Kansans out there, but I think it would be fair to say that Kansas is a little more conservative than most states. Thus the people who want to aren't within driving distance, and the people within driving distance don't want to.

Kansas/Topekans hate the Phelps clan with a passion. We have passed some laws to make their protesting more difficult. However, for the most part, they have the 1st Amendment on their side. No matter how disgusting or hateful their words are, they have a right to say it. Elected officials have tried stronger laws to bust up their little tirade, but were found to be overstepping constitutional law.

We've protested against them many times,but Fred loves it. Him and his whole inbred family believes in this 'truth' and if you say it's hate, then to the Phelps' you become the 'fag' or 'whore'.

They hang the U.S. flag upside-down on the side of their house. They have the kids and grandkids holding up these atrocious signs. The whole entire church is made up of family members, 11 of them lawyers. They picketed the Treasures of the Czars, Dr. Maya Angelou and other events for all the tourists to see their hate.

These people are as bad as that Cindy Sheehan Wacko. Lately the war protesters have hardly any support so they use goofy protesting strategies to get attention.

The media will have you believe the majority of America is against the war. However their Polls are very biased and they only ask a handfull of people. If we believed media polls then John Kerry won the elections by 65%.

While homosexuality is sin like any other sin even like heterosexual sins - NO REAL CHRISTIAN has the bad tact of harassing people in this way. A real Christian will mourn with the family who has lost their loved one - especially if we truly believe that sinners will go to hell.., celebrating that loss is horrifying and a WORSE SIN that being gay - because - if we say we are saved and have not love we are liars and the truth is not in us.

The pastor who is leading his congregation in this mischief will pay the price. While he seems to be getting by with his wickedness, he will stand before God and give an accounting of this.

Given Jesus was our example - he did not slander or harass. When he got in somebody's face it was with the pretentious religious leaders. Yes he said sinners are going to hell and explained he was/is the only way out - he didn't get up in their faces.

This pastor's congregation who does these things will answer for their deeds unless they repent. The Pastor who is supposed to be an example to his flock will be held accountable for the mischief he caused AND for misleading his flock. He will NOT escape God's judgment unless he repents sincerely.

Soldiers gay or straight are precious in God's eyes.., and deserve respect from us for the service of defending the country, laying their lives on the line for freedom.

i didnt know about that but i agree they should do that. whether u agree with the war or not we would have no freedom without our military!!
