Memorial Day and what it means?
I hate to rain on peoples parties, but Memorial Day is when we honor those who gave their lives to keep the U.S. Free.
We should take the time to help the families of fallen service people and to take a moment to remember their scarifies. Maybe go to a memorial service or put out your flag that you have left over from 9/11 that you don't fly anymore.
The Question is simple, why don't we celebrate this holiday for it's meaning, not that it's just another 3 or 4 day weekend.

I totally agree with you. My uncle, a Master Sergent in the Marines, was killed while sleeping in his barracks by a suicide bomber in Beirut Lebanon 1983. There were no remains to even bury.
Memorial Day has turned into party time for some Americans.
Not for all.

alot of people do visit the cemeteries of family members lost in war.....or, 3 day weekend and summer vacation
