Wha is agnostic?

An agnostic is someone who doesn't beleive in God, but doesn't discount the possibility that there is a God or Gods. They have the balls to admit that they just don't know!

It's possible to be either an agnostic theist or an agnostic atheist.

Though not many people seem to realise this.

Agnostics believe that it's impossible to know whether God exists, or not.

Agnostics do not explicitly NOT believe in God, because they don't believe that God's lack of existence can be proven either. They kind of sit on the fence and say things like, "Well God may exist or not... I just can't prove it either way."

By way of contrast...

Strong Atheists believe that gods do not exist.

Weak Atheists suspect that god(s) do not exist.

Agnostic is the Greek word for ignoramus, or ignorant.

not necessarily in an insulting way, ignorant just means unaware.

Agnostic is not believing in God at all.

Religious people believe there is a God.

Agnostics believe there might or might not be a God.

Atheists believe there isn't a God.

Personally, I don't care if there is a God.
