With such an immense effect on humans, How on earth Mohammad can't be a prophet?

I have studied the life of Mohammad, and i think he was a noble person who had an immense effect on so many persons. As a person i can't change even a single human heart or his views, but Mohammad changed so many, isn't it enough impact for us to consider him as a prophet?

I have studied the example of many false prophets, none of them had any considerable impact.

Update:

Justwondering, i don't feel insulted because people have different faith. I feel no one has to do with others faith, but i can understand christians understanding about any person denying Jesus as son of God can't be a prophet, but apart from this hypothesis is there any other reson you can deny him as a prophet?

Update 2:

A detailed answer by the participant Victoreous.

I have two hypothesis.

Firstly, the successfull persons who have been discussed had a purpose entirely different to the purpose of Mohammad. As a persosn he never spread the idealogy to gain power or success of this world.

Secondly, Mohammad's preachings were never Satanic. He was beaten by many non believers, but he replaced hate with love to win their hearts.

they called Jesus a witch and corruption. also they called false prophet.

the same thing done with Moses. they called him magician. and cause corruption.

and same thing said about Muhammad. he deal with devils and satan. and is false prophet.

but this is how people are from generations to generations. very stubborn to listen.

there is no way Muhammad can come up with all this religion by his own. He isn't a Super Man! even Super Man cannot do that. but he was supported by God for sure.

the words of God collected in a book called Quran

the words of Muhammad collected in a book called Hadith.

if anyone compare the Quran with Hadith he will find alot of differences. the Quran cannot come from humans. a langauge that is unique.

2 Pet 2:1-2 [NIV] But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.

There have already been many false prophets who have had a considerable and negative impact. Joseph Smith, Ellen White, Charles T. Russell, L. Ron Hubbard, David Koresh, Jim Jones... And these are just a few in recent times!

Several New Testament epistles warn against gnosticism and other false teaching. So from the first century AD to the present there has been an endless string of false prophets. This will reach its predestined climax with the rise of the antichrist in the end times.

2 Thessalonians 2 7-9 [NIV] For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders,

But maybe you're right, none of them had (or will have) any considerable impact!

He's a prophet, just not of the God of the bible. He who denies the Father and the Son is of a spirit of Anti-Christ. The bible writes as foundational of Christian faith, Jesus is the son of the God. He was born of a virgin, conceived of the Holy Spirit. He who denies Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and rose up for our justification is an enemy of the cross. Both are foundational confessions. If one denies Jesus, they can get their name blotted out of the lamb's book of life, and that means Hell.

The Koran Denys the trinity; Father, son & Holy Spirit. I AM the Yahweh thy Elohim(plural) one Yahweh.

Mohammad denied the foundation when it came to Him, and made it sin worthy of death or hell to make this Christian foundational faith statement. In the Koran & Hadith.

Yes Mohammad was a prophet of the God of the Koran. Many born again Christians have been put to death because of this Christian faith statement, because of the Hadith & also indirectly Koran. Don't even want to think about Sharia or Islamic law.

Who is a murderer, false accuser & theif from the beginning?

I found that answer in the bible. I have a passion for the God of the bible and will not bow down to any other God.

    Source(s): Bible, Koran,

FIRST LET ME SAY - I do not hate PEOPLE WHO HAPPEN TO BE MUSLIMS - I hate the religion of Islam, NOT the people.

Now let me answer your question....,

By your logic - Adolf Hitler - changed many lives and made many followers.., but I promise you, popularity does not make a Holy Prophet. Hitler was a mass murderer - end of story, the very image of pure evil and hate.

Muhammad was deceived by Satan who posed as an angel of light. Islam was born out of a master plan through which Satan's son (The Antichrist) will come and deceive the world. Muhammad was the vessel which was chosen to get the ball rolling so to speak.

Just as Eve aided in Satan's plot (not knowingly) and deceived Adam - When Muhammad KNEW he had seen a demon (Jin) it was Muhammad's wife that told him otherwise. Islam is a tool of Satan which explains Islam's (true middle east Islam) murderous hate of Jews and hatred of Christians.

The Bible foretold that an wicked Temple would sit on a wing of the Temple Mount far far far before Islam was born in or around 600 AD. See Daniel 9:27

This passage shows the Antichrist will come from Islam, a religion that makes Desolations.

I don't mean to insult you. But Christians will never believe that Mohammad is a true prophet.

The reason is that he denied Jesus as the son of God. Our faith teaches that anyone who denies him or claims to be him, is a false prophet.

to justwondering. the Bible has been written by priests and people who though they are holy. the word Son in the Bible dosen't really mean a son. but a prophet or a servant.

did you know that the Bible also said that Adam is the Son of God?

    Luke 3:38

Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

Sollomon is the Son of God?

    1 Chronicles 22:10

He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.

David is the Son of God?

    2 Samuel 7:14

I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

    Psalms 89:27

"Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth"

Israel is the son of GOd?

    Exodus 4: 22

"…Israel is my son, even my firstborn".

    Jeremiah 31:9

"…For I (God) am a Father to Israel, and E’-phra-im is my firstborn."

    sons?

    Deuteronomy14:1

..they are the sons of God

    Psalms 82:6

"Ye are the children of the LORD your God"

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" Romans 8:14

Does making a lasting impact automatically make one a prophet of God?

Consider: Adolf Hitler had a message, and his words and actions turned the whole world upside down. His beliefs are still fought against today. Millions died as the results of his beliefs. Also, consider Charles Darwin. Stephen Gould, a noted evolutionist called Darwin's theory a "Universal acid" eating through morality. Karl Marx, and his concept of Communism enslaved a majority of the worlds surface and was responsible for the death and imprisonment of countless millions of people. Even today the majority of the world's population is enslaved under a government run by his principles.

Mohammad's ideas have also resulted in death and bloodshed, Iran and Hammas want to destroy Israel. Osama, though his literal belief in the words of the Koran commenced Jihad (holy war) on the "infidels" in the world trade center.

So If you want, it is okay to join Mohammed to the likes of the above (based on influence) false prophets. False prophets can have devastating impacts on the world around us, and their ideas remain with us beyond their deaths.

A great prophet would have influence, but a holy prophet of God would have have a positive influence and bring repentance for evil deeds. In this sense, Jesus Christ was a prophet, but He was also much more than that.

Also, Prophets fortell things. And in the bible, any prophet who was not correct 100% with his prophesies, was to be branded a false prophet and executed.

Countless prophesies were made in the old testament of the bible about a messiah and everyone was fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

In response to a previous poster. Yes, those who believe are "sons of God"

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

    (John 1:12-14)

But Jesus is set apart from that.

Above he is "the only begotten of the Father" in John 3:16 he is "only begotten son" and in John 1 "in the begining was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God" Jesus was "the Word made flesh."

Jesus is not just "a son of God" but the Only Begotten Son

Islam is Democracy? One only need look at Afganistan, where a man was on trial for converting to Christianity, or to Iran, where Jews and Christians have to wear a badge to identify them as non muslims. Further looking at the koran, infidels are to be converted or killed, with the curse of Allah upon them.

Islam as Emancipator of women? Again one need only look at the Islamic world, where Women cannot even get many jobs or an education. Where women must hide their face always, where a man can divorce his wife merely by saying it 3 times (or even emailing 3 times, as recently decided). Islam stands for the bondage of women, who have no protections from abusive husbands.

In an islamic country there is no choice Its Either, Convert or be killed, or (at best) convert, or be a second class citizen.

I will answer your question with a question.

Using your example, would you consider M. K. Gandhi a prophet?

If your answer to that is yes, then by your definition, yes.

And Gandhi has the added advantage of NOT having led a bloody war of conquest that caused untold suffering.

Why worship a prophet when you can worship the true God? I'd would rather worship God than some messenger of God. The prophet is not the one that created me-God made me!!!!!!

You know, if the early Christians hadn't been so split up over dogmatical differences, Mohammed might have become a Christian. There were some things he liked about the religion. (btw, I am a Christian)
