Can I sue them?
I was lured from my job by another employer. But now that I have taken the job, I have immediately discovered that they have totally misrepresented the job and they want me to do a project that I have no background in nor am I qualified to do. Can I sue them? I'll probably have to go back to my old job with my hat in my hand and get a lower salary to boot!

If the money is good then give the job a crack. Challenge yourself with something new, that is why you got a different job in the first place right? If you tell yourself you will fail then you probably will, but go in with an open mind and a will to succeed and you just might.
Besides law suits are so last year.

I dont think u can sue them for this because I am sure whatever they had told you was not on paper was it ? So better option for you is to look for an even better job or stay on here till you find one . But dont go to the old one.

Heres the best way to figure it out. Contact a lawyer and explain the situation. Remember they only get paid a percent of your winning/settlement. so if you wont win a court case , or reach a settlement they wont want to take your case.
If there is something to it, they lawyer will see dollar signs and jump all over it.

I don't think you can sue because you were the one who made the decision to leave your old job.
My advice - start a serious search for a new job.
Good luck!!!

i would try and do the job that they want u to do,u might find out they u can handle the job.and if u can handle it that will be more experience on your next job application.and in the mean time u could be out looking for another job while you r getting paid.
