Why is it bad luck to set your purse on the floor?

Well, it's not bad luck, it's really a bad idea to put a purse on the floor. For one, someone can steal it and you won't even know. Second, the bottom of your purse will contain millions of bacteria (especially if you put it on the public bathroom floor). Third, if you purse falls over, some stuff can fall out and then be eventually kick all over the place.

I never knew it was bad luck. I just know that if you put it on the floor, your purse will get dirty or someone can take it easier.

I don't know why exactly, though, it's bad luck to set your purse on the floor b/c I do it all the time & I have a pretty blessed life :o)

never heard of that. i put my purse on the floor at home. only bad luck i had my dog took my gum out of it.

If you set your purse on floors in church, it may be. Someone told me of someone they knew who would take umbrellas to church just to hook a purse from under the pews.

Because you could forget it, or someone could take it,just like its bad luck to break a mirror, that was only started so people would take care because mirrors used to be really expensive and hard to get

They say it's bad luck to sit your purse on the floor because you will never have any money in it. I don't know how true it is but have some aunts that swear by it.
