Because Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. Satan tempted knowing weakness of flesh. But Jesus overcame all sin

It seems to defy reason to say he was God. Clearly God cannot be tempted. Clearly Jesus was tempted. If, as some say, Jesus was God in the flesh, and we follow that line of reasoning, God in the flesh is still God, right? So how could he be tempted if he were God?
If, as some say,he was half man and half God, what would happen to the God part if the man part gave in to the temptation? What I mean is, it was certainly possible for Jesus to give in - else it really wasn't a real temptation. So had he succumbed here in Luke 4:2-12, what would have happened to the God half?
A consideration of this account does not seem to leave room for suggesting that he was fully man and fully God. This account indicates he was fully man - a perfect male human being - no more and no less.

Remember Jesus's words, "you do err not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God". All Bible understanding comes from God and it takes the power of God to help us understand it. I John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. The Bible also says "God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. God the Spirit has never been tempted, that's what the verse is talking about.

Jesus is God the son, He became man so he could take our sins on Himself thus freeing us from the penalty of our sins. He is both God and was a man so He could substitute for us.

Jesus was the son of God. He was human just like you and I. Jesus was as much a "son" of God as we are His "sons" and "daughters."

Jesus was just a man.
