Where should I have my digital photos printed?
I don't know what service to use, and I don't want to print them myself. I've checked out various websites and it looks like Sam's Club is the least expensive, followed by Wal Mart. But is the quality any good? Any opinion about other photo-finishing websites like Snapfish or Shutterfly?
HA, that's funny, after I submitted this I saw that someone else asked the same question like 5 minutes ago. Anyway, I'll check the answers to both of us and see what info I can get. Thanks!

I've used WalMart for digital printing, both in-store kiosks and WalMart's WWW site for uploading. Both in-store and online I've printed stuff 1-hour, and 2-3 day service (a bit cheaper). I've been happy with the results, with prints up to 8 by 10 inch. Plus if you have a problem you can get your money back at local store and talk to a real person's face.
To my knowledge WalMart and Sam's Club uses Fuji paper exclusively for in-store and 2-3 processing (which is done at regional plants).
The only gripe I've had with Wal Mart is that the local in-store equipment is often broken for days at a time, making the 1-hour printing not worth the wait up to a week. It's better to print pictures on-line and check 2-3 day service, and get them in less time and less cost.
I've tried Clarke Photo, and wasn't really happy with the quality of the prints. The seemed dark and lost details, maybe they cut the file size before printing and/or it was the Kodak paper.

I use CM Photo center...the print quality of professionally printed photos will always be better than any ink jet or laser printer can provide, simply because of the way they're printed. I have an awesome HP photo printer that I adore, and it's great for quick prints, but you can really tell the difference in the quality if you put them side by side with lab prints. The prints are $.19 for 4x6 or 4xd (these are for photos taken with digital cameras, traditional 4x6 prints automatically crop digital photos. You can buy your prints in bulk at a rate of $.17 each. If you sign up at CMPHOTOCENTER.COM ad enter consultant #18694638, you'll get 20 free prints and access to a free digital photo album program that makes awesome, quick and beautiful 8x8 8x11 and 12x12 albums that you send to CM to have printed and bound.

I have used Snapfish in the past. Their prints are nice. I have also used Kodak often (www.kodakgallery.com); their prints are nice, but they use very thin paper. I just found www.adorama.com and am quite pleased with the quality and they use heavier paper (Kodak Royal paper).

I get my digital photos printed at Longs Drugs. The image comes out clear. Any drugstore will do.

If you only print 4x6, you should pick the one that uses the Fuji machine. It is much better than the Kodak ones. Walgreen uses that machine. I print all my photos in Walgreen.

Aside from the occasional refusal to print obscene photos. Walmart has the cheapest price, and you pay when you pick them up.

I've had people be happy with Brooks or some drugstore chain like that. Walmart is okay, but they force their morals on your pictures too, and won't print anything they don't want to.

I use Walgreen's. If you sign up and have your photos printed online, you get 20 Prints for free. Also, you can pick up your prints at any Walgreen's, anywhere.
