Is eternal security Biblical?

I believe that security is in God's nature since it is His power that holds all things together. So, I am thinking that if a person is born-again then God has the power to keep them secure.

John 10:28 I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish! eternal does not mean until the next time we sin, 1 John covers confession of sin, confess it and move on and don't keep doing it over and over. David prayed, restore unto me the joy of my salvation, not his salvation but his joy, he had committed adultery and murder.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (1st John 5:13)

"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." (John 10:28)

2nd Peter 2:20-21 has nothing to do with losing salvation, it is about false teachers who had the truth but were not really saved in the first place.

Source(s): The King James Bible. (1st John 5:13 is corrupted in most modern version bibles)

"Eternal Security" or "Once Saved Always Saved" isnt Biblical... though if you are saved and then sin again, it does not revoke your salvation. But if you walk away from your salvation, you will lose it. See 2 Peter 2:20-22

Eternal SECURITY and Eternal DAMNATION is BIBLICAL. You have to chose(free-will) between the two-----even after your SAVED. I won't leave you guessing, after your Born-Again, you CAN lose it if you "Walk away from JESUS(this is not run-of-the-mill sinning)ON-PURPOSE!!!. It is hard to do, and Baby Christians(Children of GOD) cannot do it. If your scared that your have committed the UNPARDONABLE SIN, don't worry, YOU HAVEN'T. People who do this don't want nothing to do with JESUS after that.LOST people who don't want anything to do with JESUS, can GET SAVED. People who have gotten SAVED and ascended up far enough on the Mountain of Truth to commit the UNPARDONABLE SIN and COMMIT it, ARE GONERS!!!!!!

Yes, if your faith is never in jeopardy. However, if you are like everyone I know faith is constantly being tested. Faith, a cellphone-a means of human communication with the divine, is how we pray, we give (more than we can afford), we love the unlovely. It's how true Christians get by in the world. Everything we do of our own will and not in the constant awareness of Christ through faith is...Sin!

All the greatest Christian heroes accomplished what they did by faith. And finally, Jesus Christ Himself accepted His role as Savior and Lord through a close walk with His Heavenly Father through faith.

The role of faith simply cannot be understated.
