I found a 1912 Liberty nickel - does anyone know if it's worth more than 5 cents?

You can still make out the letters BER on the crown.

Check out eBay, do a search under Collectables; Coins. Find one that is close to the condition yours is in and you'll get a pretty good idea.

You have a liberty nickel. You are one year shy of a million dollars . 1913 nickel is worth a million, but you have a 1912.

Sorry that's only worth fifty cents.

Its grade is probably close to VG8, which puts it at around $1.25-$1.50.
