Why do you think people post questions they know are going to get reported and deleted?
Why do you think they do that? Some kind of cheap thrill that they know they are going to make people angry? It get into an argument with someone over what is said? To make themselves look superior? Just to know several people will see their hate filled or negative rant before it gets yanked? For a joke? Could it just be a way to get attention from people? Some other reason? I know in this section, society and culture, there are a lot of posts like this every day. Is this just a magnet for them or is it just as bad in all of them?

Well, I think it's probably the small child in them that craves attention- OF ANY KIND!!! They probably lead very shallow, boring lives- not many friends- etc... You know, somepeople will also just do or say ANYTHING to get a rise out of peole, too. The enjoy the shock factor- in some sick kind of way - they think they have had an impact on, or altered other's lives: they love it that you will be thinking of them - probably for several days to come! It's just all about them.Try not to let it get to you- don't respond at all- it's what they want- AND, it allows them to win!!! :)

I think its because the want to show that they are "smarter" so people pretend to be GW Bush or Osama and know that there are Americans or Muslims or Islamic people on Answers. By posting questions like that it often stirrs up a hornets nest of either racism or "ageeance" on certain views just exposing the core of rotteness in society even more. They are like worms in an apple and there questions seem to attract the other worms of society. Im not saying everyone that answers or hurls abuse, or even agrees with a bad posting but generally hatred or abuse is fought with abuse. Who's worse... the poster or the answerer? Heidi

I think you answered it very well yourself. All of the reasons mentioned. Personally, I chalk it up to childishness, and don't take any of it too seriously. Maybe I'm just naive, but I think people can't really be serious about some of the things they write. And if they are serious, then my ranting at them probably won't have much effect. Better (in my opinion) to just report them, and move on with my life. (Maybe respond sarcastically, to get those 2 points.) But nothing on here is worth getting worked up over, since you can't even be sure who is writing, and if they are serious.

I'm sure they receive some kind of titillation from it. I would assume, for the most part, that these people are teenagers or younger looking for the thrill of "being bad". Then there are those few older people who are just so full of hatred and loathing that they feel they must let others know that they are full of hatred and loathing. Any public forum will attract both types. I just ignore them but I do catch myself wondering at their ignorance sometimes.

They know it will make people angry, and yet there are still those of you out there gullible enough to swallow the bait and get your dander up. So you report them, they switch IDs and start all over again.
Either ignore it or respond with humor. Humor beats back stupidity better than going and telling Mommy.

I've seen some deleted questions. And they all have been deleted by the one who posted them.
I have not yet seen any kind of censorship here, where someone deletes other people's questions.
